MIDDLE east affairs, why is this important?
When things start heating up in the Middle East, predominantly around Israel, you will know when the battle of Armageddon* and the King's (Jesus) return is coming near.
Basic biblical Christian belief captures what is still to come. As to date, most prophecy has been fulfilled up to the Rapture**. This is next. Sometime after the Rapture, scripture teaches us the 7 year Tribulation period will take place (Daniel 9:27). During this time, the world will experience wars and pain like never before. This is why God saves his children (Christians or people who put their true faith in Jesus. See John 3:16 and John 14:6). * Armageddon: Hebrew word meaning "Megiddo" located in what today is modern day Megiddo, in the Jazreel Valley of Israel.
