With today's times starting in chaos and all the debates about "when the rapture occurs," this should help explain the biblical understanding even the most novice Christians can understand.
One primary thing to remember, as a Christian, you are called to love one another, as Christ loved the church. So regardless on your stance of the rapture, do not allow this to cause division amongst other brothers and sisters in Jesus. It's okay to agree to disagree. Overall, if you have made the decision to follow Jesus in your heart, you'll be raptured regardless of your belief or stance of pre-tribulation, Mid-tribulation, or post-tribulation rapture. It's all about Jesus!
Revelation 1:1-3 says, "This is a revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants the events that must soon take place. He sent an angel to present this revelation to his servant John, who faithfully reported everything he saw. This is his report of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.
God blesses the one who reads the words of this prophecy to the church, and he blesses all who listen to its message and obey what it says, for the time is near."
So why is the book of Revelation important? Well, #1, it's from Jesus himself (who's God in the flesh/body), and #2, it's the only book in the entire Bible that comes with a special blessing. So don't be afraid to read and study it. God will bless you!
Today a lot of churches won't teach you "through" the book its self, but rather take a safe approach to picking parts out of it. Click below to gain some basic elements to remember when entering Revelation. Also, at the top of this page, under "Recommended Books", Chuck Missler does a great job on his "24 hours in the Book of Revelation" commentary and I highly encourage you to listen and study with him on the audio book.
A lot of church leaders today teach and believe you can lose your salvation. Fully understanding scripture clearly reveals the truth about God's grace (free gift) versus working or doing something to maintain salvation. As a true believer in Jesus, you are no longer governed by sin, which is the result from breaking Moses' Law. Instead you are a new creation (spiritual) and live through Jesus. Therefore, there is nothing you can physically do to keep or lose salvation. You simply have to repent (change your direction), believe (John 3:16 & Acts 16:31) and put your trust in Jesus (Proverbs 3:5-6).
No need to focus on "stop sinning" as you cannot accomplish this by yourself. Change your direction to "start following Jesus" and you will naturally stop the desire to sin. Once a believer, nothing can separate you from the love of God (Romans 8:38-39).

Every 2000 years a major event occurs affecting our world and changing history. 2000 years after creation was Abraham. 2000 years after Abraham was Jesus. 2000 years after Jesus...well its almost here. What's next?
Some think it's the rapture of the church. Some think it's the beginning of the 7 year tribulation and destruction of the world through the antichrist. Others think it's the beginning of the 1000 year or millennial era when Jesus Christ returns reigning as our spiritual and world leader. A thorough study, soon to come...

Jesus is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6). God the Father, Jesus the son, and the Holy Spirit are the one and only true living God (John 1:1-5, 14 & John 10:30-38). Jesus was born from a virgin (Matthew 1:18), lived a perfect sinless life (2 Corinthians 5:21), died for all of our sins (1 Peter 2:24), raised physically/bodily from the dead (Luke 24:39), and is coming back again
(John 14:3, Titus 2:12-13, & Revelation 19:11-16).
God loves you and he wants to have a personal relationship with you through his son, Jesus. It only takes an act of faith and belief.
